Make WordPress Simple

Darko Kovacevic – WordPress developer and content writer at TechBlogReview

Hi, I’m Darko Kovačević

I’ve spent the last 6+ years building websites with WordPress — and writing honestly about the tools that make that easier.

I started TechBlogReview because I was tired of reading reviews written by people who had never actually used the products they were recommending.

Every article on this site is written from hands-on experience. No padding, no affiliate-driven bias, no “just try everything and see what works.”

What I Write About

I cover the things WordPress users actually need to figure out:

  • Hosting – which providers are worth your money, and which ones slow you down
  • Themes – free and premium options tested for speed, flexibility, and real-world use
  • Page builders – Elementor, Bricks, Divi, and the tools that are replacing them
  • Plugins – SEO, performance, forms, backups — the ones that do the job without breaking your site
  • WordPress tutorials – step-by-step guides for beginners and intermediate users

If it runs on WordPress, I’ve probably already tested it.

My Background

I’m a full-stack WordPress developer and content writer based in Serbia.

Over the past 6+ years, I’ve worked on:

  • Elementor and Bricks Builder projects for clients across different industries
  • WooCommerce stores with custom extensions and checkout flows
  • Headless WordPress setups using the REST API
  • SEO strategies that focus on content quality, not shortcuts

I don’t just write about WordPress. I build with it daily.

That’s what makes TechBlogReview different — every recommendation comes from someone who has actually done the work.

How I Review Tools

Before I publish any review, I:

  1. Install and use the tool on a real WordPress site — not a demo
  2. Test the core features that matter most to everyday users
  3. Check for performance impact — speed, page size, and load time
  4. Compare it to alternatives so you can make an informed decision
  5. Update old reviews when products change significantly

I’m not looking to sell you on something. I’m here to help you pick the right tool for your situation.

Tools I Use Daily

  • WordPress (classic and FSE/block themes)
  • Elementor
  • ACF (Advanced Custom Fields)
  • Yoast SEO
  • Blocksy
  • LocalWP, Docker, SSH
  • VS Code
  • Claude Code
